The SC-X3 (Smart Converter for Water Meters) is a smart electronic device for the measuring water to residential and commercial installations. The SC-X3 works in conjunction with a pulse output water meter. A optional wireless Consumer Interface Unit (CIU) installed inside the house provides consumption information to the consumer as well as the ability to check registers. It is the ideal system for accurately and quickly reading water consumption of private residences, complexes, estates, low cost housing developments and a valuable tool for water management to landlords.
The SC-X3 features an 868MHz bi-directional encrypted radio communications link, enabling remote meter interrogation, Automated Meter Configuration (AMC) for remote mass meter re-configuration, Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) for walk-by or drive-by data collection or fixed GSM based gateways. The user has the ability to pre-select only the required data fields to be uploaded from the meter. AMR data is stored in CSV format for easy integration to third party systems or Microsoft Excel.
Modes of Operation
The SC-X3 converts a standard conventional water meter to acts as an electronic water meter, without any water restriction, using AMR to upload meter readings for import into a billing system.

Elster/Honeywell C4000 Combi Bulk Water Meter
The C4000 meter is designed for bulk flow applications where large variations in flow rate occur. Full or medium flow through the primary Woltmann type metering chamber gives high metering accuracy, achieving Class B approval. At lower flow rates the secondary volumetric V220 meter achieves optimum accuracy, reflected by its Class C approval. Available in sizes from 50mm to 100mm, with flow rates from 15l/h to 250m³/h.
